In February 2018, our story starts at a weekend Latin dance festival in Sydney, Australia. We were drawn to each other, dancing together was effortless and a kiss on the dance floor sealed our future. Helen was living in Adelaide at the time, and Peter from Canberra. Over the following months, our relationship grew as we jumped on Friday evening flights and travelled between cities on a regular basis, until we finally decided that the distance was too much and one of us needed to move to the other's city for the relationship to flourish.

After we both applied for jobs in each others' cities, Helen accepted a job in Canberra, made the jump and moved in. Through our mutual passions for dancing, good wine, and uh, Star Trek, our love for each other grew, and in November 2018 we added a new family member, a kitten called Pixel. In February this year, Peter proposed to Helen under the stars on the roof of our apartment building. Champagne and music were of course involved!
